ON AIR

Brian Taylor

The ever ingratiating Brian Taylor, is a life long resident of South Eastern Minnesota and a veteran of Rochester radio for nearly two decades. His inborn fondness of 60’s and 70’s rock, a penchant for seemingly useless facts, and unparalleled availability has made him a natural fit for KRPR. Off air, Brian bides his time between airshifts with family, friends, and petrochemically fueled fun…with an excellent soundtrack, of course.

Shari Renae

As a lifelong resident of Rochester, Shari knows this community as well as she knows her classic rock and is thrilled to be a part of Rochester’s radio heritage on KRPR. Her love of rock dates back to the first (of seven) times that she saw The Doobie Brothers and Journey in concert. Off air, she can often be found on the links, spending time with family, or tending to the English gardens on her estate.

Roy Achter

After a few short stints on the air in Waseca and Winona, Roy has been keeping Rochester radios company for over 40 years. Many longtime listeners are surprised to discover Roy’s pedigree of rock ‘n’ roll, having attended both the Monterrey Pop festival and Woodstock. Off air, Roy fills his day honing his culinary skills, hosting munificent social events, and delving into his favorite thesaurus.

Jim Giebel

The golden-toned Jim Giebel transplanted to Rochester decades ago from the East Coast, where he rocked the airwaves of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Jim jazzed up Rochester’s airwaves with Jazz Trax Plus, his hit radio program of more than 25 years. Off air, he enjoys even more time behind the mic, entertaining as a professional emcee and mobile dj at special events and wedding receptions.
